Watch Your Life Bloom

Welcome to the Official Blog of Author Dr. Lily L. Ratliff Jenkins, of the inspirational Memoir, The Life of a Lily: Growing in His Strength, Blooming in His Love, and many other writings.

Thanks for coming by to sit awhile and reflecting along with me on everything biblical. On this blog, feel free to share your thoughts and feelings about the various topics I present. They all do come from the heart and are meant for us to ponder, be enlightened, laugh, cry, and ultimately give God all of the praise.

You will hopefully find resources on everything from writing tips to creating your own memoir, how to journal, becoming better Christians and how to walk in your callings, destinies, and witty inventions that we have deep inside of us but sometimes don't quite know how to tap into and walk in. But GOD! It is in his wisdom along with an open mind that we will get through this together. Amen! So I welcome you my brothers and sisters!

A Friend That Sticks Closer Than A Brother

Friends, don't ever take for granted this world around us--nature, the birds, the trees, and everything God made for each of us. Because regardless of what it might look like, the evils of this world, the economy, the microwavable, fast-pace of the days before us, it's nice when we have people that care enough about us and can show the unconditional love that goes with having true friends. Watch this video. It's sure to make your heart flutter with affection and praise!

  1. This was such a good story. It showed what a real friend will do for you. I think people should look inside of themselves. If you are stuggling with keeping friends we shouldn't be hurt, sad, or angry. God might being trying to show us that the people we love as friends are really not our friends. Once we trust God to bring us people to be our friends, then will we see that there really are some good people in this world. I know because all of the people who I have known all my life and loved them honsetly were not really my friends at all. Once I trusted God He brought me people who I have known for a few years but they are better to me then the ones I have known all of my life.
