Watch Your Life Bloom
Thanks for coming by to sit awhile and reflecting along with me on everything biblical. On this blog, feel free to share your thoughts and feelings about the various topics I present. They all do come from the heart and are meant for us to ponder, be enlightened, laugh, cry, and ultimately give God all of the praise.
You will hopefully find resources on everything from writing tips to creating your own memoir, how to journal, becoming better Christians and how to walk in your callings, destinies, and witty inventions that we have deep inside of us but sometimes don't quite know how to tap into and walk in. But GOD! It is in his wisdom along with an open mind that we will get through this together. Amen! So I welcome you my brothers and sisters!

Is it really just a DREAM?
“Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe.” ~Gail Devers
Throughout your life, you acquired dreams...
Dreams of what you'd be when you grew up
Dreams of having a family
Dreams of the car you would ultimately want to own
Dreams of your highest accomplishment
Dreams of starting a business, non-profit, or school
Dreams of being a best-selling author, actor, ball-player, or entertainer
Dreams...Dreams...Dreams.
But how many of them actually became reality? You may be thinking that I'm telling you NOT TO DREAM... But on the contrary, I want you to continue to DREAM. Just because one particular dream did not manifest in your life doesn't mean many of the others won't either.
Have you kept track of your dreams? No matter how big or small they are, all dreams are important. Worked properly, dreams go through several stages:
Dreams ----> Projects ----> Programs ----> Plans ----> Goals ----> Purpose
But dreams can't reach its intended purpose without you taking them from off a page in your journal and onto the specified area it is supposed to go to. It needs to have an intended target. Your job is to reach for the dart and throw it in the direction it was meant to hit.
Once you do that, you are well on your way from just having a DREAM to living a REALITY! A life one is meant to live--full of Purpose and Meaning! Keep dreaming... they will soon become the very essence of who you are.
To learn more of how I can give you the keys to unlocking your dreams, go to my website: Keys to the Kingdom Christian Coaching.

Breakthrough
by: Author Unknown, Source Unknown
Most of the flight from Atlanta to Ft. Lauderdale was delightful. We sailed high, in clear skies, with nary a bump to bother us. As the pilot announced our initial descent, things began to change. The could cover in the area was thick, and we would have to go through it to land. As I peered out the window into murky grey emptiness, I felt frightened. There was nothing I could do except put my trust in the pilot and those in the control tower at Ft. Lauderdale. We bumped, were jarred and seemed to be on a roller coaster ride before we finally broke through the clouds. How relieved I was, being able to see once again, and having the smooth ride resume. Breaking through those clouds was exhilarating for me! I sighed a breath of relief.
Life hands us cloud-banks of dark and dismal times, also. We may have some warning, as the pilot warned the passengers on the plane, or we may just hit the cloud-banks of life with a bang. Either way, the ride through them is usually bumpy and uncomfortable, to say the least. But the old saying that there is light at the end of the tunnel is so true. There is light after we ride through the cloud-banks of life. The question is, how do we weather the storm? Who do we put our trust in, as we face difficult times? Do we turn to a friend or write to Dear Abby for help? I hope we turn our eyes toward heaven, and ask God, who created this universe, for guidance and help during the cloudy times we endure. Then, when we make the transition out of darkness into His wonderful light, we can be reminded that He was with us all the while. That is very reassuring to me, and I hope it is to you, also.

Live a Life of Balance
Philippians 4:5 "Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord [is] at hand."
When was the last time you decided to do things according to what is most important to God, instead of what's always important for others? Have you stopped to ever ask yourself, "Is this something that is pleasing to God, or only pleasing to man?" Yes the promotion may help your stature and raise your salary. But who is it really benefiting? Do you find with that promotion a whole lot more responsibility that takes you away from what matters most: your time with God? your family and children? your own fulfillment in life?
God makes it very clear where our priorities should lie...
Matthew 6:33 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
God should be first place over anything we do. Without Him, our life would be imbalanced. He is the nucleus that holds all things together. When we realize that and decide to not just include Him, but make Him the very One all of our decisions are based upon, then we will see the advantages we receive from a God who holds all of the favor and blessings in His hands. You turn a job that you felt you had to have in order to get what the world had to offer into a ministry. You will influence more whether you have a title or not, and you will have more fulfillment in that job whether you received a raise or not. God becomes your source! And He is the best one to provide everything you need.
Your life will grow more in balance in:
1. Spiritual (Your relationship with God and clarity of vision in ministry)
2. Family (More closeness with your spouse and children)
3. Work (Not just a job, but a fulfilling career)
4. Health (Exercise and purposeful choices in your eating habits)
5. Relationships (More meaningful relationships with friends)
6. Self (Well-being more complete, signaling peace and tranquility)
God desires you to be prosperous and in health, even as your soul prospers (3 John 1:2, emphasis mine). You can do that with a life of balance.

Happy New Year!! 2013
Many of us have goals, dreams, visions and desires that we have brewing just waiting to see it come to pass. I won't talk about New Year's Resolutions, because personally I don't believe in them, but I will say this. With each passing day, it will be absolutely important that we invest in time of reflection. We can say we are going to do this or that all day, but without a sure fire plan in place, it won't happen. We must write the vision and make it plain. We must also run with the vision. Put feet to our faith, and go into uncharted territory, in other words, go where we have not gone before. You can't take the same steps, and go in the same direction thinking that it will happen the way you intend it to. Sometimes we just have to do it differently. And when we do, obstacles may come, but push those out of the way, and steadily move forward. You will have what you say this year, just make sure what you say lines up with the Word of God.
Three things I think all of us should be focused on doing MORE of this year:
1. Pray
2. Fast
3. Study the Word
Sounds redundant right? Many of you were like, 'She didn't say anything profound.' But how many of you did that is 2012? Not just on occasion, but were consistently doing it? It takes discipline, doesn't it? But the more you do it, the easier it becomes. It will not feel like a duty, but a lifestyle. One that you can't live without. And really...you can't.
I want to wish all of you a Happy New Year! One of significance, and great joy!
“Joy is the infallible sign of the presence of God.” ― Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

Even Through It ALL...God Still Blessed Me!
When God called me to the role of Pastor and Teacher, little did I know He would give me a heart for women. I can attest to you that being around a bunch of women has never been my passion, for prior to the ministry, I had always been to myself, with only 2 or 3 close friends (who live in different states) in my inner circle. And I was cool with that. :-) Nevertheless, God brought a passion and a mandate to speak to the inner workings of a women, flaws and all, and promote sisterhood on a completely new level. Well this last July I had the opportunity with a team of 9 other women to put on the first retreat sponsored by Lily Jenkins Ministries entitled, 'Women Who Love God & Each Other'. It took place right here in Atlanta, one weekend, and God showed up and showed out at the Hyatt Hotel-Perimeter Center. Here's a couple of pics from the event. Thirty-one women from 14 different states took part!
Immediately after that wonderfully blessed time, Lily Jenkins Ministries was on the move having back to back engagements in Georgia, Florida and North Carolina. I teamed up on two occasions with my husband, Apostle Donald Jenkins to speak to the voids of marriages in an effort to ignite Purpose on the inside of them through our Married on Purpose Ministry. Here is a picture during one of these engagements.
Once on one stop, in Tampa, FL, God showed us our future covering in the ministry. We are so thankful and looking forward to having Apostle Mark Jones and the Center for Manifestation Family as a resource and a vehicle to push us into the next move of God which is our new church location starting October 7, 2012 at The Pursuit of Purpose Church, 200 Hannover Park Road, Suite 100, Atlanta, GA 30350 at 10AM. Why don't you join us! In Durham, NC, I went to speak during a Women of Wisdom Conference on the subject: 'Reveal Your Glory in Me: Releasing Your Passion for My Purpose!' Here's the pic below...
And now I have come to this DAY! A day I have been waiting to see for a long time. Months turned to years of writing this new book and now it is here! My new book was released two days ago...'There's Hope for the Weary: God's Promises Through Life's Greatest Storms'. It is available in Kindle format, and Paperback at Barnes & Noble.com and Amazon.com! It is truly a 30 Day Testament to the love God has for you. Here are the various links where you can order. There's Hope for the Weary
I showed this visual depiction of this year because after all I've been through, my life as I used to know it, will never be the same. God has blessed me beyond what I ever thought it could, despite my faults, despite my past, despite my previous doubts and failures. He did it! It was nothing I could do on my own. He saw fit to use me...and for that I am grateful! In His Service,

There will be GLORY after this!

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only [so], but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope... Romans 5:1-4
Just because you are going through, you are tested on every side, oppressed, stressed, depressed, and can't understand why God won't or when is God going to bring you through, doesn't mean that God is not concerned nor that He already knows about your situation. There's a reason for your testing, and He allowed you to go through because on the other side, there will be a strong testimony. He determined that you would be able to handle it. And He knows that through this process, you will remain faithful.
Do you know the enemy thinks he has the upper hand, but he does not? Do you know he feels he has won the battle every time it seems you have been defeated? But do you know that God even has the enemy under wraps? God will never let the enemy get the upper hand in your life. It may seem in the natural that you are under water in your situation, but God is your life guard and He has thrown you the life jacket and expects you to put it on and float your way to the surface. Hallelujah! God will never let you drown, whether in debt, depression, sickness, hurt and pain--it doesn't matter.
At the end of the day, there will be GLORY AFTER THIS! Your testimony will be a catalyst for someone else's breakthrough! Know that God is not through with you! You are a prime candidate for DOUBLE for your TROUBLE! Just keep the faith, hold on and allow God to be the remedy to all of your sorrows! He counts every tears and has engraved your name in the palms of His hands. He cares for you! Keep praising in the midst of it! There will be GLORY! His WAY, His WILL, His GLORY!
God bless you!

Ring Celebration: A Celebration of Purpose
Marriage contains a hidden meaning of purpose that’s often not explored. Being able to capture purpose within a union is a sign of sealing the union from the influence of a negative culture. In marriage, the ring is an eternal symbol that reflects the wisdom of the Hebrew letter called Samech. The appearance of the letter Samech is circular in nature like the ring and it carries the meaning of divine support.
The message of the letter Samech declares that ‘all things rise and fall on support’. It can clearly be seen in the support that comes from a family unit. The devil knows that the easiest way to destroy communities is to remove the element of support within families. The ring celebration is a celebration of two people who are committed to building support within the family unit. It is a celebration of two people who fully understand that their union is one that reflect the culture of heaven and supported by the hand of God.
Please join us as we seal our union with divine purpose with a special celebration of our rings that signifies divine support. This is our way of commemorating our union and reclaiming the purpose of the family unit as we move forward and anticipate what God has in store for our family. The event will be held at the Petite Auberge Restaurant on July 10, 2010 at 5:00P.M. It is located in the Toco Hill Shopping Plaza at 2935 North Druid Hills Road, Atlanta, GA 30329. Cost of the meal is $25.00 per person (tax and gratuity is included). God is All-Powerful!
So many people are hurting in this world. Please if you see others around you that are in need or hurting from this life, be the brother or sister that may help them see Jesus! Pray for them, encourage and uplift them. Be a witness to them, and show love for God is love (I John 4:16).
Many of you may have seen this video below before, but sometimes we have to be reminded of the goodness of Jesus, especially when situations may deem itself as if Jesus may be far from us in our times of need. But He is there, and He knows about all of our concerns. As a matter of fact, He said that he would perfect that which concerns us (Psalm 138:8).
I pray this video will bless you as much as it blessed me!
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:35-39).

A Friend That Sticks Closer Than A Brother

God of the Possible
God of the Possible
Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”
When Jesus said that it was easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of heaven, his disciples were understandably concerned. Was Jesus implying that rich people could not live in God’s kingdom?
No, that was not his point, though he was aware of how much our love for possessions can keep us from full surrender to God. But Jesus knew of a power greater than the lure of riches. The power of God could do the impossible, helping even a rich person to come under God’s authority. The same God who changed the hearts of tax collectors and sinners could transform the values of one who loved riches more than anything else. For the God of the possible, nothing was impossible.
God is still in the possibility business today. You may be facing situations in your life that feel overwhelming. Your work situation may be frustrating. Your marriage may be crumbling. Your children may be rebelling. Yet God is not daunted by the challenges of your life. He can do what to us seems to be impossible.
QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION: What are the biggest challenges you face today? What in your life seems overly difficult, even impossible? Are you actively offering this to the Lord? Have you asked others to pray with you? Are you looking to see what God is already doing?
PRAYER: Gracious God, were it not for your mercy, I would never have entered your kingdom. It’s not that I’m a rich person. But I do want to hold tight to the possessions I have. The fact that I can offer them to you as I offer my whole self to you is evidence of your amazing grace at work in me.
Lord, you know how I can get overwhelmed when problems are too big for me. I love to be in control, or at least to think I am. So when I come upon something that seems to be impossible, I can panic. Help me, dear Lord, to lean into you at these times, to feel your strength, to seek your wisdom. Do in my life even that which seems impossible. And help me to trust you more in all times, knowing that all things are possible for you. Amen.
